We spend the night in Stjørdal, along a beach. We have made some meters now that the weather is a bit less. The next morning we pick up Johan’s Father’s Day gift and drive to Trondheim.

The girls would like to swim again so that’s what we’re going to do. We find a free parking space but it turns out to be full, Johan walks around and finds a spot. Parking at the swimming pool is quite expensive, so we cycle the last part to the swimming pool. It is windy but luckily it is dry.
Pirbadet is the largest subtropical swimming pool in Norway. There are slides, hot tubs, rapids. We’re having a great time splashing around. We eat something in between, it remains a real treat that they have so many gluten-free options everywhere here and also know exactly what happens with cross-contamination. Some rain on the way back, but doable. Goos is still sleeping soundly and is very happy that we are back.
We lost Jinte’s only dress. Especially now that she has been wanting to be a princess for a few days now. There is a shopping center within walking distance, so just go back and forth. We say it’s a surprise, a nice one. Diede thinks we are going to a baby or a cat, it’s so cute how she tries to make that clear with her first words and gestures. Jinte searches and searches but does not find what she had in mind. She really wants a dress. Mirre suggests that she choose three dresses that she likes, hang them next to each other and then she can choose one. That works! She has been wearing the dress for a day and a half now. We then decide to continue driving.

Tomorrow the weather won’t be nice and we won’t have much interest in a town. The girls are exhausted, staring at a movie. Luckily we just managed to keep them awake, otherwise it would be a party tonight.
