What a wonderful city! We will spend our next weekend away together here! So much to see and do!

A quick sandwich at the camper place and we sail by boat to an island full of museums. There is the Junibacken museum. A must see for children. There is so much to do and see, it is comparable to the children’s book museum in the Netherlands. Now we are not familiar with all Swedish children’s books but we still have a great time. It is raining outside so it is extra nice to do something fun inside.

Back in the camper Johan cycles to the center for some groceries while Mirre walks around with the girls. A nice pasta goes down well after such an afternoon.

When the girls are in bed, we use our phones as a baby monitor. On a bench at the harbor next to the camper we open a bottle of wine. We got this bottle from friends, for a special moment. We have doubted several times whether we should open it, but 100 days on a trip with this view really feels like a great reason. We chat for a long time about the trip, how it went, how special it is that we had so much quality time and not one single argument. What it has brought us, how we see it at home and about the future. What a great evening! Slightly tipsy we dive into bed.

The next morning we get up early. We go for a nice city walk. We see all kinds of things and the Lonely Planet has some fun facts about a number of sights. Jinte soon gets tired of it, but when she finds a zoo map at the bottom of the pram, she is in her element. Suddenly there are animals everywhere in the city, we have to be very quiet with some of them because they have babies. Well, we walk like that for a while, not a cloud in the sky. We have lunch at a tent where we eat a mega delicious cake, among other things.

Then it is time to go back. Diede in the baby carrier with Mirre, Jinte in the stroller. No way on some bumpy roads. We sprint and just make it to the boat. When we get to the camper, it starts to drizzle. We are also exactly within the time of the parking meter. What timing!
