On our way to Oslo! We are unsure how far we will go today. The weather is lovely so we decide to spend the afternoon outside. It is 30 degrees, but the wind is blowing very hard. We look for a spot that is hopefully a bit out of the wind and therefore a bit further from the playground. We soon reconsider this decision and move to the spot right next to the playground, play and Johan learns some Norwegian from an eight-year-old boy.

Our move puts us next to very pleasant Dutch people. We chat as if we have known each other for a long time and Jinte and Diede have a nice camping grandpa and grandma. Totally nice. There are burgers on the menu tonight! Because of the wind we decide to bake and eat them indoors.

In the evening the wind dies down, it is wonderful. The girls stay up late. Diede soon falls asleep. Johan takes a shower and in the meantime Mirre goes back and forth to Jinte 100 times. It’s hot and she can’t fall asleep. Eventually she ends up naked on the other side of her bed.

We can sit outside for a long time, the temperature is good and we look out over the fjord. A game of yahtzee! Mirre throws yahtzee twice, but Johan is the real winner after three games.
The girls were awake regularly, so when the alarm goes off, it takes some effort to get out. We say hello to our nice neighbors, the girls give big hugs. Myrrh is never very good at saying goodbye. Almost always tears in her eyes. Who knows where we’ll meet again! Just after the worst crowds we leave the campsite.

For a change we can drive straight onto the ferry! And who do we see there? Our neighbours! Jinte secretly ‘scares’ them. More hugs and this time some more photos. We also exchange numbers, which had not happened before. Now really until someday! We continue to find it special how you just choose to stand somewhere and then meet such nice people. That’s one of the things we love about traveling.
