Two more nights at a campsite to do laundry and take proper showers. The drive there is stunning, but also full of winding mountain roads. The girls start feeling a bit queasy. Singing Oh Denneboom helps a little. Then Jinte moves to the front, and Mirre sits next to Diede—that makes a difference.

We find a nice campsite. The spots without electricity are cheaper, and since we now have a massive battery and plenty of solar panels, that’s no problem at all. Saves us some money!

There are quite a few Dutch travelers here. All of them have been on the road for a long time—some for a few months, others for six years! I jokingly said, “There goes your peace and quiet,” when we parked Tinus, but they all miss their grandkids, so they actually love having some liveliness around.

The girls chat away happily. We take the bikes to the local market, and of course, the girls get all sorts of treats again. The hospitality here is incredible.

The weather is perfect, and we even manage to have dinner outside one evening! Jinte has already started counting down to her birthday. She really wants to celebrate it somewhere with a fun playground. That should be doable!

P.S. We still haven’t gotten rid of our fully electric lease car. We’re offering two months of free lease! If you know anyone, let us know.
