Such an impressive view from the campsite. Breathtaking. We looked for a spot and other people pointed out a part of the campsite where there was much more space. Very nice or they already saw it coming, two children and a dog. We found a wonderful place. Just recover for three days. The antibiotics are doing their job so that’s great. Hop on your bike in search of ice cream. That made the girls very happy and we were also ready for some ice cream after al those turns up in the mountains. There is a lovely outdoor kitchen at the campsite that we like to use. Tomorrow we visit one of the monasteries for which this place is famous. We are curious!
We visited the monastery the next day by local bus. We got up early because he left at 9 am and the next one not until 12. We chose the monastery with the fewest steps, 4 year old legs are not eager to walk more than 300 steps, we thought. Diede loves being in the carrier. The road there was just as beautiful. You see a lot of ruins of monasteries but some of the monasteries are still in use and some are open to tourists. The monasteries are all on top of a different mountain or are partly built into a mountain. In the past, people could only get there with a basket on a long rope. Only if the rope broke, it was replaced. You just might be that one. Well, the will of God.
It was time for an afternoon of relaxing. We did some laundry. Diede didn’t want to sleep so he needed a lot of entertainment to make it through the evening without a mental breakdown. Advantage: she fell asleep right away.
Last day here again. We cleaned the camper and did some shopping. In the afternoon we cycled to a nice spot for a picnic, made new drone images. Hopped on our bike again to have dinner in the evening. Super tasty with that beautiful view again. Jinte wanted an ice cream for dessert, Mirre knew a nice ice cream place. Just a short distance down the mountain. You guessed it, the electric bike was empty. Of course you can also guess who went back on that bike.
There are large holes and caves in the mountains at some points and hermits still seem to live there. We speculate a bit about how they live their lives.
Girls go to bed, pack things, make a plan for tomorrow. Leave on time because our next stop is Albania!
