We feel like we are leaving Albania when we enter this campsite. Tight grass, no waste, straight pitches. We’re not used to it like that here. A conscious choice, a campsite with just a few more facilities. They report pretty bad weather so we want to wait out the rain here. Jinte parks the camper with the help of Johan or actually the other way around. We had lunch outside for a while and then it started to rain. First a small shower, but a little later more and more. With everyone in the camper it is quite a hustle and bustle, sometimes the tension rises, but at other times it is cozy and pleasant. We have a drink in the restaurant and Johan and Jinte make zucchini soup together while Diede and Mirre decorate the window in the alcove. Jinte and Mirre wash the dishes together, put on a raincoat and boots and go!

Girls go to bed, it’s raining and pouring. Jinte calls at night to ask if we want to tuck her in again. Naturally. When Mirre does that, she feels that the side of the bed is wet. She leaves it for now, Jinte doesn’t notice because she is on the other side.
She tells Johan in bed, we’re going to lie down and grind. Mirre still thinks that the window is not closed properly, Jinte had it open earlier that day. It won’t be a leak after all. Unfortunately! The next morning we find out that it is. It continues to rain and from under Jinte’s window it drips onto her mattress. Towel in between. Just called expert Tine and made a strategic plan. We found a garage. Quickly packed our stuff, paid for stay at the campsite.
The garage is a fifteen minute drive away, we have read good reviews from other camper owners and are helped immediately. As we thought, it turns out to be the sealant, probably somewhat torn due to the rough bumpy road. He fixes it and we have to wait for it to dry. Mirre is doing some shopping with the girls in the meantime, we better use our time wisely. Johan waits in the office of the garage, where you can just see each other because it is blue from the cigar smoke. We don’t have to pay anything, he insists. It only cost him some kit. The traffic here takes some getting used to, the streets are a mess but the people. The people here are so nice and helpful. We promise him a good review on Google and he is more than happy with that.
