From Kotor we drive towards Dubrovnik. An almost two-hour drive on a panoramic route. We are amazed.

We arrive at a campsite just north of Dubrovnik. We choose a nice spot with a sea view, whip up some pasta and play in the playground. Jinte has spotted a Dutch license plate so she chats with Trudy and Wim.

The next morning we get up on time and take the bus to the old center of Dubrovnik at 9:15 am. We walk on the city walls and enjoy this tourist attraction. We imagine what it was like here in the past, but we especially cannot imagine what it must be like during the high season. We’re having ice cream, again. Time for some history. Jinte is a true culture sniffer. We go into one church after another and when we want to have something to eat she says she wants to see one more thing. She learns about priests and about Jesus. We light a candle and always think of someone else we miss. We stroll, eat pizza and return mid-afternoon, with 10,000 steps in our legs.

Time to free Goos. He is sleeping wonderfully when we return. Not surprising with the relaxing dog music in the background.

We wash and shower the girls. Eating leftovers and Jinte thinks that she wants to make video calls with Iteke and Fred. She already thought of them when we saw a cable car this afternoon, during winter sports every gondola ride was a true improvisation show. She chats happily with them.

Put the laundry in the dryer, fold it, plan for tomorrow and go to bed. Tomorrow we will make a short trip to Bosnia Herzegovina. We are going to admire waterfalls!
