We arrive at Camping Bled. Nice campsite, a little autistic organized. You get a place and the boys at the reception would fit well in an IT department.
When I walk back from the reception to the camper, Johan signs with a grin from ear to ear that I have to hurry. I immediately know what time it is and pull a sprint. My sister gave birth, we have a healthy nephew, Nolan! What a party! They video calling so we get the girls out of their seats and enjoy a very cute little baby of whom we mainly see his beautiful dark hairs.
We are looking for a place but Mirre is not there with her head. It will be puzzling for a while, but secretly she really wants to go on a maternity visit. We have talked about this before and would see if it will fit in our plans. When the girls are in bed, we find a few things, tickets are booked, what a surprise that will be. Just calling some people who are in the conspiracy and then sleep well. Jinte is coming as well, she will be in seventh heaven.
Rain! Although our rainy days can be counted on one hand, we are also quickly done with it. Fortunately the weather will be better in the coming days.
At the end of the afternoon it finally gets dry. We cycle around the lake, eat an ice cream and watch some shops. When we want to take the bikes again, we find them laying on the ground. They are not put there, no really thrown down. We had put them at an OV bicycle point. Spacious enough that those bikes can still access. This gentleman did not like that. He is still there, on his face we read that he did not expect to meet us. We are really angry. We have made our point clear. Great if you move them but not that way. Jinte is impressed. When we eat something we look out at the bicycle shed. She says: “When I see that gentleman I will really do something”. We ask her something then and have to laugh at the answer, “something very naughty”. What that is exactly, remains a mystery. After that it is often about the gentleman of the bikes and the prison, she must clearly process it mentally. We cycle back, the lake is incredibly beautiful. The island in the middle and the castle and church on the side make it fairy -tale.

When the girls are in bed, Mirre crafts a pendulum. The maternity basket is with friends who live around the corner of her sister. We toast our new nephew and ensure that we are in bed on time. Jinte and Mirre fly tomorrow morning at 9.10 am!
The alarm clock rings and Mirre gets dressed. When her alarm clock rings again through the snooze, a curtain open with a very happy four year old girl behind it. “Did You set that alarm clock so that we arrive in the Netherlands on time?!”. Never before did the morning routine go so smoothly. We say goodbye to johan, diede was still sleeping so that is just a bit crazy, but tomorrow we will be back. At 6.30 am we board a taxi towards the Ljubljana airport. What an adventure together!
If anyone thinks we don’t care about Jinte her brain. She can’t get her helmet on at the moment because of the stitches in her head. Just Saying.
