Today we covered a lot of distance again. We have a nice lunch outside with a snack, the weather has already cleared up quite a bit. We’re standing off grid tonight, in a forest. If we approach via the south it is 18% up the mountain to our p4n, fortunately it is easier to do via the north.
We remove our DIY closet in the shower. With the exception of a few items, everything has a new place. We take a quick photo for our successful sister-in-law. The girls use sidewalk chalk, they also come out of the battle colored. A quick rinse with a bucket and soapy water. Flies are well represented here so we decide to eat inside. The evening ritual is, as usual, late. We play another game in the evening. What a nice day this was.
For the first time, we are making something from the camping recipe book that has been traveling with us for months. Breakfast pancakes with yogurt and banana. Very tasty, but the ones we have made before remain our favorites. We need the hand blender and therefore electricity for that. As soon as we get back, a solar panel will go on the roof. We leave at the end of the morning, 18% percent down the mountain goes smoothly.
We drive the Atlantic Road. A beautiful road with bridges, but we expected the road to be longer and more beautiful. We’re just spoiled, that’s what it really comes down to.
Another ferry. Ferries and bridges, they alternate nicely. Where do we go now is the next question? We decide to keep driving and look for it while driving. Hey, we were just here too. Well, we drove around a bit, but we have a plan. Another small town doesn’t appeal to us so we skip Ålesund and drive leisurely towards Geirangerfjord. Still a ‘bridge’ too far for today, so where will we be tonight?
