Actually, we only go to this city for the sushi. Again on the advice of other travelers, hopefully it will work out better this time.

After filling the gas bottle, we park the camper and head to a shopping center. Diede needs new sandals and Jinte needs new jeans. Johan has lost some pounds so he could also use new pants. We succeed and start looking for a shower curtain. Until now we have used the shower as storage space, but now that we are more often free-standing, showering in the camper would be useful. We rearranged the cupboards and it just fits!
Johan brings Goos and the purchased items to the camper and gets some groceries.

Mirre and the girls look for a playground. For a bathroom break and a clean diaper, we go to a shopping center to look for a toilet, the girls get to share an ice cream, which goes surprisingly well. Mirre treats herself to an iced coffee. We go back to the playground where we play with a Romanian girl of Diede’s age.

Then we walk towards the sushi ‘restaurant’. It is a community center where there are often performances on weekends. The sushi restaurant is located in a kind of lobby at the front. When there are no performances, the hall has been converted into a restaurant. We get a plate full of all kinds of different types of sushi and it is delicious. We enjoy it and the girls enjoy it.
On the way back to the camper we video chat with our birthday niece. We sing to her and give big kisses over the phone.

Girls in bed, Mirre calls a friend. When she comes back, Jinte is still not sleeping. She has squeezed into one of Diede’s blouses that were still in her bed and is reading a book. A very funny and touching sight. We give her another five minutes and a little later she asks if we put her in.

Another evening of chatting, Johan is working on some drone videos and Mirre is updating polarsteps. All quite a job, but also very nice as a reminder later and to notice how many people follow us and to get some reactions here and there. When we lie in bed, we first hear the train loudly. Then there is a seagull on our roof who calls on all his mates to accompany him. Then someone, who is quite proud of his car, shows what a fantastic sound his car makes. When it seems a bit quieter, Diede wakes up a few times. She seems to be sleeping further and further, but she is unable to do so. She continues to sleep between us, but even then she still has the occasional dream. Jinte shouts again because she wants to be tucked in again.

A restless night that means we don’t wake up until half past ten in the morning. Delicious! We decided not to continue the coastal route last night. The weather will be less favorable in the coming days, so we decide to travel a few kilometers south. So a travel day. I’m also finally catching up with polar steps again! It runs almost exactly the same again.
