We visit another playground, eat sandwiches and play our “trip to the Netherlands” in the merry -go -round. In the evening we eat along the highway and video call with friends. When we are going to drive it is still very light and the girls have to get used to it. The more north we come, the longer the light will be. At 10.30 pm, Jinte still happily chats. “Mama, you know. If the sun shines on the leaves, you will also get shadow”. “Mama, are we now higher or lower on the earth than Brielle?” “Mama, why is it light here for so long?” “Mama, did you know that Fenne has already got teeth out and that she can now easily slur fries and spaghetti? When do my teeth go out?”. And so it goes on for two hours. She surprises us with her questions every time. Mega cozy, Diede seems a bit restless. Eventually they both sleep and we can finally eat the snacks that we had ready, haha.
We found a parking space near Riga. We transfer the girls again and climb into our bed. We had booked the ferry to Finland in such a way that we did not have to rush and so we have some time. The next morning we visit Riga, a beautiful and modern city. Johan gets Goos his vaccine actions for Scandinavia, which he ultimately does not get. The vet does not think it is necessary to give him it again. We already hoped for that because he just had them. The right stamps so we can continue. Mirre, Jinte and Diede are already taking the bus to the city. At least, they thought so. Eventually we come with a detour. Riga has many wooden buildings with a lot of color, which makes it very atmospheric.
We stroll something, buy out a gluten -free bakery (Better Bread) and enjoy it in the sun.
Halfway through the afternoon we leave again. On to Tallinn, where we take the boat to Helsinki tomorrow.
