The Plitvice Lakes were quite a deception.
We did not know that it was a national holiday so there we were with Half Croatia. They let ‘only’ 10,000 visitors a day and it goes on time zone. The people after us in line had to wait until 2.30 pm this afternoon and then it would rain very hard. Fortunately for us that we were just allowed to enter!

Another large walking tour. Jinte soon said: “I think it’s very beautiful here, but I think all those people are stupid”. Well here we can actually stop writing because it is the summary of the day. The views were certainly beautiful but it was really too busy.
After an hour we came at a point where you could take a boat to the other side. From there you can return either by boat or by bus. There was a row of at least an hour. So walking back. While walking, we imagine what it would be like if there were mermaids living here, what would be nice about one and so on. It was fun and before we knew it we are back at the camper, with very tired legs. 10,687 steps further to be precise. Just before we walked in, it started to drip considerably and a little later it came pouring down.

Just a little snack. Diede is fast asleep and we manage to put her in her childseat without waking up. On to a place to sleep.

At this point we found out that some of the hikes are the most beautifull at it´s end. At least, that wat we make up from different images and, for example, a Lonely Planet. With children 6 hours of hiking is no option of course. Something we take into account for the coming plans.
Just a piece of advice for our traveling followers!
