We drive away from the city, back into nature. The difference between Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina is clearly visible. The roads are worse, houses unfinished, abandoned buildings, traffic signs shot up. Impressive. The road to the camper place at the waterfalls is steep and, you guessed it, partly gravel. We are slowly considering a 4×4. But! The road does take us to a very beautiful place again.

Just admire the waterfall.
Wow!

This is a beautiful piece of nature, we soak it all in. Every now and then we have a moment of realization that we such lucky people that we can experience this. The girls have fun throwing stones. We take some drone footage and way too many photos. We can keep looking at it.

‘Duty’ calls, cooking has to be done. Red cabbage. Johan doesn’t understand how Mirre was able to buy it. You wouldn’t eat something like that for fun on holiday, would you? Anyway, we can hardly eat our favorite pasta every day. In the end it tastes delicious, add an apple and a Montenegrin bacon steak to finish it off. Johan washes the dishes, the girls and Goos head towards the waterfalls. We have it for ourselves this evening. Every part of the day brings new colors, it’s magical.

In the evening we have thunder and rain. That sounds quite intense with such thin ‘walls’. It’s so nice that our camper is big enough to be able to relax inside. Rain has become an exciting thing. Wouldn’t anything leak?

We sleep wonderfully. We have breakfast at 9 o’clock. Everything is still dry. The weather is beautiful. We admire the waterfalls one last time and then we head out again. Johan’s expert steering skills bring us back to the surface safely. Back into Croatia, although we first stand at a border crossing that is no longer in use. No internet for a moment and these two millennials are literally off the map. We find our way with the help of the ANWB maps, thanks Dad.

We liked the coast so decide to visit it again.
